Click to book, essentially, is the number of hoops a user has to jump over to complete their transactions. videc’s App in the Sky screened user journey on 66 airline Android Apps in 2Q19 to identify airlines which have the shortest number of clicks (or taps in an app) to reach the payment selection screen.
This analysis excludes the number of screens beyond payment selection; different payment methods and countries have varied regulations surrounding payment confirmations.

Click on the respective ranges to discover which airlines have aced the mobile user journey. The fewer the clicks or taps, the faster it is for travelers to book. However, airlines need to strike a balance between focusing on pure ticketing versus upselling ancillaries in the shopping flow.
